How do I buy tickets?

Tickets can be purchased here. Tickets will not be sold at the door. You must arrive within your purchased time slot, however, you can stay at the museum as long as you wish. Tickets must be purchased for each person (children and adults). Children under 2 are Free!

WIC/EBT cardholders do not need to purchase tickets; just show your card at the door.

Free passes are also available at the following libraries: Beverly Public Library, Boxford Town Library, Burlington Public Library, Essex Library, Flint Public Library (Middleton), Flint Memorial Library (North Reading), G.A.R. Memorial Library (West Newbury), Georgetown Peabody Library, Hamilton-Wenham Public Library, Ipswich Public Library, Langley-Adams Public Library (Georgetown), Lynn Public Library, Lynnfield Public Library, Manchester-By-The-Sea Public Library, Nahant Public Library, Newbury Town Library, Peabody Institute Library (Peabody), Reading Public Library, Salem Public Library, Saugus Public Library, Stevens Memorial Library (North Andover), Topsfield Public Library and Wilmington Memorial Library. Pass holders do not need to make a reservation, simply show pass at the museum entrance.

What ages are welcome at the NSCM?

The museum was designed to be accessible and inclusive for children ages 2-10.  Some materials may not be suitable for all ages.

What if my child(ren) has allergies?

In consideration of food allergies, food & drink is only allowed in the Snack Spot (to the left of the main entrance). Food and drink are not permitted elsewhere in the museum, with the exception of water.

Are strollers allowed inside?

For everyone’s safety, strollers should be stored in our coat room and not pushed throughout the museum.

Is smoking allowed outside?

No smoking is allowed anywhere on Museum property.

Misc.

Unaccompanied adults w/o children must leave a photo ID at the Admissions Desk and wear a sticker.

For the safety of all, grown-ups should stay with their children at all times during their visit.

How do I book the party room?

Contact us at nscminfo@peabody-ma.gov to inquire about renting our party room.

Where should we park?

Free parking is available on Main Street and in the Central Street parking lot. There is limited parking behind the museum.

The Museum is also accessible via public transportation. Bus #435 stops at Central Street and Walnut, which is a 3 minute (.1 mi) walk to the museum. 

Are there restrooms onsite?

There are two restrooms located within the Museum and are handicap accessible.

A diaper changing station is also available.

Is there a nursing space for moms?

There is a private mother’s room for moms who need to nurse their babies, which includes a comfortable glider and changing table. 

Is the museum handicap accessible?

The Museum is all one level and is wheelchair accessible.
