Pop-Up Children’s Museum Call for Artists

The future pop-up children’s museum in Peabody has released a call for artists. The Peabody Cultural Collaborative recently announced that they would be spearheading the temporary museum in downtown Peabody. The museum, CuriousCity, will be located at the Leather Workers Museum at the George Peabody House property on Washington Street.

Project partners include the City of Peabody, Salem Five, Peabody Institute Library, Northeast Arc, Peabody TV, Essex Agricultural Society, Boston Children’s Hospital, Citizens Inn, Peabody Main Streets and others.

The PCC is looking for local artists to create and design hands-on, play-based exhibits for children. Applications and proposals are due on October 24, 2018 at 5 p.m. For more information see the application here.
