Upcoming Weekly Programs at the North Shore Children’s Museum

We are pleased to offer many weekly programs and special events throughout the month. With the help of our wonderful, creative partners and support from donors, the majority of our programs are free with the purchase of admission. Upcoming events are listed below. STEAM CLUB for Website - March 2024

Special Event – Spring Egg Hunt

Saturday, March 28th 2-3pm & 4-5pm.

Join us for our 4th Annual Spring Egg Hunt! Due to demand we will have two sessions, one at 2pm and one at 4pm.

Children participants will receive an egg carton to fill with (12) eggs to take home. Participants will have (1) hour to hunt for eggs hidden throughout our exhibit spaces, and to play in the exhibit spaces.

Eggs will be filled with various candies. If you have a child with an allergy, please see the front desk before you depart to trade in candy-filled eggs for allergy friendly eggs.

Tickets to this special event are $30/Non-member Child and $25/ NSCM Member Child (*Adults are FREE). Tickets are available online while supplies last.

Upcoming Programs – Week of March 2, 2026

Wed 3/4: Join Mini Movers Studio director Jackie at for a morning of moving to the beat!

Thurs 3/5: Pack your imagination and travel to a new creative destination through hands-on exploration. Young artists will experiment with materials, discover new techniques, and create one-of-a-kind works inspired by places near and far.

Sat 3/7: Get Ready to Move and Groove! Join us for Music and Movement with MaryBeth Maes this Saturday at 10AM. MaryBeth will have your little ones singing, dancing, and playing along to the music!

Sun 3/8: Design, build, and test a clever trap using creativity, problem-solving, and a little artistic magic. Will your invention be tricky enough to catch a sneaky leprechaun?

Children’s programs are free with admission to the coinciding play session unless otherwise designated. Tickets are subject to availability.

Upcoming Programs – Week of March 9, 2026

Wed 3/11: Build whatever your imagination dreams up in this open-ended LEGO free-build extravaganza. Towers, vehicles, creatures, or total masterpieces – if you can imagine it, you can build it in LEGO-palooza! 🧱✨

Thurs 3/12: Join us for seasonal storytime with St. Patrick’s Day–inspired tales full of luck, laughter, and a little magic. After the stories, roll up your sleeves for a themed craft to bring the story to life 🍀📖🎨

Sat 3/14: We’ll share the story Alan the Wrench and dive into hands-on activities inspired by tools and teamwork. Children will explore how everyday tools work through playful crafts and maker-style challenges that blend storytelling, problem-solving, and creative discovery. Featuring local author Joseph Paragona Jr.

Sun 2/21: Get ready for hands-on, ooey-gooey MESSY science as you mix, squeeze, and explore green and glow-in-the-dark cloud dough. We’ll dive into the fascinating world of non-Newtonian fluids, discovering how materials can act like both solids and liquids through playful experimentation. *wear clothes you don’t mind getting MESSY!
