Upcoming Weekly Programs at the North Shore Children’s Museum

We are pleased to offer many weekly programs and special events throughout the month. With the help of our wonderful, creative partners and support from donors, the majority of our programs are free with the purchase of admission. Upcoming events are listed below. STEAM CLUB for Website - March 2024

Peabody Free Weekends 2025

We are excited to announce that we are able to offer free admission for Peabody Residents weekends in November and December with support from the Mass Cultural Council and Peabody Cultural Council.

Tickets can be reserved online in advance and in person. Guests must be prepared to show proof of Peabody residence when purchasing in person or redeeming online tickets.

Special Event – Noon Year’s Eve Party

Wednesday, December 31, 2025. 10AM-12PM

Ring in the New Year at noon with North Shore Children’s Museum!

We invite you to join us at our annual Noon Year’s Eve Party on December 31 from 10AM-12PM. Tickets include access to our 14 different exhibits, a Winter Holiday Puppet Show, New Year’s crafts, and dancing. We will end the party with a countdown to noon and ball drop! 

Tickets to this special event are $15/person for non-members, and $10/person for NSCM members. Tickets are available online now while supplies last at nschildrensmuseum.org

Upcoming Programs – Week of November 30, 2025

Wed 12/3: Dance with Mini Movers. Join Mini Movers Studio director Jackie at 10:30AM for a morning of moving to the beat!

Fri 12/5: Join Inclyousion Sports coaches here at NSCM at 10AM for a fun sports program. Inclyousion Sports provides inclusive sports enrichment programs to children in Massachusetts, using innovative behavioral methods to teach sports, fitness, and social skills.

Sat 12/6: Join us for Music and Movement with MaryBeth Maes this Saturday at 10AM. MaryBeth will have your little ones singing, dancing, and playing along to the music!

Sun 12/7: Messy Winter Science for ages 5+. Come explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math with special guest instructor Linda Sessa of Out of the Box Learning Company! Every STEAM club session will see your kids participating in hands-on activities while exploring a new topic. Space is limited, please add a participant ticket to your cart along with admission for your entire party.

Upcoming Programs – Week of December 7, 2025

Wed 12/10: Legopalooza. We are excited to be able to offer a vast array of Legos for kids to build with in our back party room from 9AM – 12PM and 1PM-4PM. Please note that Lego Bricks are rated for ages 4 and up. Special thanks to friend of North Shore Children’s Museum Ryan for generously donating the Legos for this program!

Thurs 12/11: Join us for Art Adventures with Pam! Explore the world though art, and get your passport stamped at each Art Adventures program.

Fri 12/12: Join Miss Shelley for kids yoga and mindfulness this Friday at 10AM. Take some time during this busy week to breathe and move your body.

Sat 12/13: Matt Heaton’s Holiday Hootenanny is a lively, family-friendly show that brings the spirit of the season to life with a mix of Christmas classics, original tunes, and kid-friendly rock ‘n’ roll. Known for his engaging performances, Heaton blends his musical talent with playful humor to create an interactive holiday experience perfect for kids and parents alike. From jingling bells to reindeer-inspired rock songs, this festive concert is sure to get everyone clapping, singing, and dancing their way into the holiday spirit.

Warm up the cocoa. Break out the candy canes. Dust off the Rudolph-singing pipes. Matt Heaton is coming to town!

Sun 12/14: Lego Challenge. Join us in the back party room anytime between 2PM and 4PM on Sunday and try your hand at the Lego challenge of the day. There will also be time for free building. Guests who attempt the challenge will get a Lego themed sticker to take home.

Upcoming Programs – Week of December 14, 2025

Thurs 12/18: Join us this Thursday for Interactive Story Time! Join Lynne for a new story each month, from which you will be introduced to a handful of American Sign Language signs that fit into the story.

Sat 12/20: Low-sensory Play Session, 2-4PM. Created for our friends with autism and sensory processing differences, we have reduced the number of tickets available for this play session, and will dim lights and sounds to become a more welcoming environment. You do not need a formal diagnosis to attend this play session. If you have any questions about our low-sensory play sessions, please reach out to us at nscminfo@peabody-ma.gov.

Tickets for our low-sensory play session are limited, and available online now. There may be some tickets in-person on Saturday, depending upon pre-sale numbers.

Sun 12/21: Join us for Sustainability Sunday with Salem Sound Coastwatch! We will be learning ways we can be more sustainable with recycled materials – making DIY braided dog toys and pet name tags. Name tags may be donated to Kitty Cat Cafe (Peabody, MA) to bring holiday cheer to their adoptees as they wait for their Fur-ever homes! This program is supported by the Mass Cultural Council.

Upcoming Programs – Week of December 21, 2025

North Shore Children’s Museum will be closed December 24, 25, and 26, 2025.

Sat 12/27: Join NSCM staff member Christina at 3PM today for a half hour of kid’s theater games. Christina has years of experience teaching theater and improv to all ages. This program is best for our elementary aged guests, but all are welcome to attend. Our youngest guests may need some parental assistance to fully participate.

Upcoming Programs – Week of December 28, 2025

North Shore Children’s Museum will be open on Monday, December 29 and Tuesday, December 30 from 9AM-12PM and 1PM-4PM.

Tues 12/30: Join us at 10:30AM for a musical morning with local band Dandelion. Dandelion plays interactive, lively music for children and their caregivers that focuses on nature, community, and friendship through a folk music lens.

Wed 12/31: Ring in the New Year at noon with North Shore Children’s Museum! We invite you to join us at our annual Noon Year’s Eve Party on December 31 from 10Am-12PM. Tickets include access to our 14 different exhibits, a Winter Holiday Puppet Show, New Year’s crafts, and dancing. We will end the party with a countdown to noon and ball drop! This is a specialty ticketed event. NSCM will only be open during the party on 12/31.

North Shore Children’s Museum will be closed January 1, 2026. Happy New Year!
