We are pleased to offer many special events throughout the month. With the help of our wonderful, creative partners and support from donors, the majority of our programs are free with purchase of admission. Upcoming events are listed below. Mini Movers

Join us on January 6 at 10AM for Story Movement with Mini Movers Studio! The instructor will read a story and lead participants in movement directly connected to the book.

Join us at the North Shore Children’s Museum on Saturday, January 7 at 10AM for music and movement with MaryBeth Maes. We had such a fun time with MaryBeth in December and are excited to welcome her back this month.

Join us at the North Shore Children’s Museum on Friday, January 13 for stilly story time. Susie will be bringing silly stories to life at 10:30AM.

NEW PROGRAM

Pre-K Wonder Workshop

Do you ever wonder which animals like to hibernate? We invite older preschoolers to come investigate and create. With a focus on the three Rs – reduce, reuse, recycle – we will be crafting a cozy bear den to take home.

Norma is a current member of our Visitor Experience team, and is a former transitional kindergarten teacher. Her workshops are both fun and education for this special age.

Program is free with admission to the 1/25 afternoon play session.

NEW PROGRAM

Story and Craft Time with Mary Conway

Join us at the North Shore Children’s Museum on Thursday, January 26 at 10AM for story and craft time. Retired elementary teacher Mary Conway will read Snowmen at Night, and then participants will be guided through a special snowman craft.

This program is free with admission to the 9AM-12PM play session.

Community Heroes – Peabody Fire and Police

Featuring Ella, a Peabody police dog

On Sunday, January 29 at 3PM, meet two of Peabody’s community heroes – Deputy Fire Chief John Hosman and Police Officer Eric Ricci. They will show you how to recognize dangerous situations and explain how they keep our community safe. K9 Officer Ricci will introduce you to Ella, a Peabody police dog, and teach participants how to safely approach and pet dogs.

This program is free with admission to the Sunday play session.
