We are pleased to offer many weekly programs and special events throughout the month. With the help of our wonderful, creative partners and support from donors, the majority of our programs are free with purchase of admission. Upcoming events are listed below. Upcoming Programs – Week of May 14
It’s our summer safety weekend!
Friday 5/19
We’re excited to welcome back Miss. Shelley after a short break! She will be teaching kid’s yoga on Friday May 19 at 10:00AM.
Saturday 5/20
Members of the Peabody Fire Department will be at North Shore Children’s Museum at 10:00AM on Saturday May 20. They will share a fun and informative presentation about fire safety, especially around campfires and fireworks as we head into summer.
Saturday 5/20
Join YMCA lifeguard and swim instructor Derek for a fun program about being safe on and around bodies of water this summer. The YMCA will also have an informational table in the lobby all day if you have any questions about their swim lesson programs.
Sunday 5/21
Officers of the Peabody Police Department will be presenting about summer safety, focusing on bikes and speaking to strangers. The PPD will be in the lobby from 12-4PM handing out stickers and helmets.
Sunday 5/21
STEAM Club – We invite our guests ages 5-11 to join us each Sunday at 2:30PM for STEAM club. Each month will explore a theme with new experiments and projects each week. Pre-registration is recommended by adding a no-cost STEAM Club participant ticket to your order, along with admission to the museum. Adults must be present at the museum for the duration of the program.
These programs are free with admission to the coinciding play session. Tickets are subject to availability. Click here to purchase tickets.

Wednesday 5/24
Join us this Wednesday at 1:30PM for a pre-K wonder workshop. Each week we explore a different question through hands-on activities with retired transitional kindergarten teacher Norma.
Friday 5/26
Susie Magoozy is back at 10AM to delight guests with her silly stories. Susie uses puppets, felt boards, and music to bring stories to life.
Sunday 5/28
STEAM Club – This week: rainbow in a jar and melted crayon suncatchers.
We invite our guests ages 5-11 to join us each Sunday at 2:30PM for STEAM club. Each month will explore a theme with new experiments and projects each week. Adults must be present at the museum for the duration of the program.

STEAM Club – June 2023
Join us on Sundays at 2:30 for STEAM Club for ages 5-11. June’s theme is Down on the Farm, and each week participants will explore science and arts through hands-on projects and experiments. This program is free with admission to the 2-4PM play session. You can purchase tickets and sign up for STEAM club online or in person while supplies last.
6/4~ Planting: Reading “Growing Vegetable Soup.” Project: Corn Kernel Mosaic.
6/11~ Root Veggies vs. Stem Veggies. Project: Vegetable Prints with potatoes and peppers.
6/18~ No program
6/25~ Farm Animals: Reading Nat Geo’s “Farm Animals.” Project: Make your own butter.

June is farm month at NSCM!
Friday 6/2
Join us for mini movers on Friday, June 2 at 10AM. Our awesome instructor will have you up and dancing to the beat in no time!
Sunday 6/4
STEAM Club: This week we explore planting at STEAM club with “Growing Vegetable Soup” by Lois Ehlert and corn kernel mosaics. We invite our guests ages 5-11 to join us each Sunday at 2:30PM for STEAM club.
