Upcoming Weekly Programs at the North Shore Children’s Museum
We are pleased to offer many weekly programs and special events throughout the month. With the help of our wonderful, creative partners and support from donors, the majority of our programs are free with the purchase of admission. Upcoming events are listed below. Marblehead Free Days!
Marblehead residents can enjoy free admission to the North Shore Children’s Museum on August 8-9 and August 15-16!
With the generous support of Marblehead Cultural Council and Mass Cultural Council, we are excited to offer free admission days for Marblehead Residents. Tickets may be reserved online in advance or in person. Get your tickets at nschildrensmuseum.org/visit/buy-tickets/
Guests must be prepared to show proof of Marblehead residency at the door.

Monday Morning Play!
We are OPEN Monday mornings in July and August!
School’s out, summer’s IN! We’re opening our doors in July and August for some magical Monday morning play🌞Come play with us on Mondays from 9am-12pm!

Mon 8/3 & Fri 8/7: The BEAM is ON! Join us in the back party room for some interactive games as we jump, run, and compete for a new high score!
Thurs 8/6: Build whatever your imagination dreams up in this open-ended LEGO free-build extravaganza. Towers, vehicles, creatures, or total masterpieces – if you can imagine it, you can build it in LEGO-palooza!
Sat 8/8: Jam out to some summer beats at Pool Party with Matt Heaton! Matt Heaton’s bringing us a musical morning of rockabilly tunes and high-energy summer fun!
Sun 8/9: Explore and create with STEM-based arts projects in Sunday STEAM! Design, experiment, and bring home your beautiful summer crafts! This week, we’re exploring the ocean as we build our own Ocean in a Bottle.
Sat 8/8 & Sun 8/9: Are you a Marblehead resident? This weekend, Marblehead residents receive FREE admission to the museum! Reserve tickets online or in-person, and be prepared to show proof of residency at the door!
Children’s programs are free with admission to the coinciding play session unless otherwise designated. Tickets are subject to availability.

Wed 8/12: Build whatever your imagination dreams up in this open-ended LEGO free-build extravaganza. Towers, vehicles, creatures, or total masterpieces – if you can imagine it, you can build it in LEGO-palooza!
Thurs 8/13: Join us for Art Adventures with Pam! This week, we’ll be taking a walk on the beach as we decorate seashells!
Sat 8/15: Meet up close with lizards, hedgehogs, rabbits and more in this hands-on animal show! Learn about all kinds of critters in this special presentation by Curious Creatures!
Sun 8/16: Join us in the back party room anytime between 12PM and 4PM on Sunday and try your hand at Lego Challenge. There will also be time for free building. Guests who attempt the challenge will get a Lego themed sticker to take home.

Wed 8/19: Discover the world of bugs in this hands-on learning experience! Learn all about our little nature friends as we check out insects and arthropods up close with Professor Bugman!
Thurs 8/20: Build whatever your imagination dreams up in this open-ended LEGO free-build extravaganza. Towers, vehicles, creatures, or total masterpieces – if you can imagine it, you can build it in LEGO-palooza!
Sat 8/22: In 2022, Shoebert the Seal captured hearts across the North Shore! Andrea LeBlanc commemorates his story in her new book, Shoebert’s Unfinished Journey. Join us for a live reading and craft as we adventure with Shoebert!
Sat 8/22: Join us for a Low Sensory Play Session, featuring a calmer, more relaxed museum environment! During this special play time, we reduce noise levels, limit crowd size, and adjust stimulation to support children who may benefit from a quieter experience.
Sun 8/23: Explore and create with STEM-based arts projects in Sunday STEAM! This week, we’re discovering light as we create Sun Catchers!
